Research Project
- DEVELOPING CULTURALLY RESPONSIVE FAMILY DISPUTE RESOLUTION
- INVITATION TO PARTICIPATE IN RESEARCH
- Family Relationship Centres (FRCs) in Parramatta and Bankstown managed by Anglicare and Catholiccare respectively have initiated research to develop culturally responsive family dispute resolution (FDR). FRCs help separating parents reach agreement about their children. They use a process like mediation called family dispute resolution. It is free for the first three hours.
- I invite you to participate in this research. You offer services to families from culturally diverse backgrounds who may be separating. You may provide FDR. Your experience will greatly assist this project.
- Participation will involve an interview in person or by phone for about an hour. The researcher is based in Sydney, so local participants may be interviewed in person. Participants in other states will generally be interviewed by phone. The interview will be recorded and transcribed.
- The research is conducted by the University of Western Sydney (UWS) Social Justice and Social Change Research Centre and the School of Law for the FRCs at Parramatta and Bankstown.
- If you are interested in participating, please email or phone Dr Susan Armstrong, details below.
- Please tell anyone else who may be interested about this research. Please redirect this invitation to someone else more suited in your organisation. If you have any questions about this research or suggestions about people who may be interested in participating, please contact Dr Susan Armstrong.
